There is a new trend in wedding photography called “Trash the Dress”. Brides are using their wedding gowns in Documentary style photography shoots after the Wedding day.
A Trash the Dress photo-shoot typically takes place after the wedding day or after the honeymoon.
Many take place at an outdoor location.
Why Trash The Dress?
One reason is to dress up again and wear the dress and enjoy it! This time you don't have to worry about getting it soiled. Another reason is that you can make it a fun day out and will add an alternative dimension to your wedding day Story and photographs.
Most modern Brides probably didn't wear their mother’s dress for their Wedding day due to it being out of fashion etc, so the idea of your daughter wearing yours in the future is probably nil!
