Man of the word.--- 1st Attempt

O.k people I do need some suggestions for editing this particular image...I tried darken the background so the cross can stand out but it didnot quiet work.....any suggestions will be hugely appreciated

Personally I like it as it is.
Though too much detail probably lost in the conversion to b&w?

I like the shot. Have you tried dodging the rest of the shot to add more light at the top- so making it darker...or am I pointing out what you already know?
